Wrote some of my Millwright tests today:

Unit 4 Theory Quiz

Unit 4 Math Quiz

Final Math Exam

Final Blue Print Exam

My brain is very tired. I o nly have my Theory Final left and then I’m a Third Year Millwright Apprentice. I did well on everything so far, but that last theory test is 2.5 hours and covers a LOT of ground.

I wish I could take that test just to see how I score.

The unit-theory test was mostly about welding and ND Testing with a wee bit of cross dial stuff.   I’m already a ticketed welder so that went smoothly. The unit-math test was power / torque / gearing / speeds / etc with some compressor stuff. It went pretty well, and the Final- test was basically all the same stuff, two of the coefficient of material expansion  questions were exactly the same so I didn’t even have to solve them. The Final Blue Print exam was pretty easy with a few really tricky bits. They ask a lot of questions of stuff on the drawing, but don’t give a Bill of Material or parts list. So sometimes certain things can be kind of a guessing game between “would we call that thing a retention ring, or is it a spring washer... can’t really tell with this single view”

That sounds interesting and challenging. Keep up the good work.
